If you are looking to shift the excess don’t go and pay for a membership just yet, first of all find a friend who has similar get fit goals. Together you can go running, walking, circuit training this will be much better for the both of you. First of all, you will be saving money which is the main reason you are here. Next, having a friend with the same goals means you can feed off each others energy and determination, the voice in your head that always tells you to stop when your knakkered will be told to shut up by your friend! You can also compete to see who loses the weight quickest, again competition fuels your desire to lose the weight which will have the desired effect for yourself.
Running – To start off on this road to recovery, you need to take baby steps. Doing a 5 mile run in your first outing is only going make you hate running even more! First run do a 1 minute walk and a 1 minute run and continue to do this until you have completed 10 minutes of running. Do this for a week. In your second week do a 1 minute walk and a 1 and a half minute run and continue to do this until you have done 15 minutes of running. In your third week do a 1 minute walk and a 2 minute run and continue to do this until you have done 20 minutes of running. In your fourth week you will be ready to run non stop for 10 minutes take a walk of 2 minutes and then another 10 minutes! This will give you more enjoyment out of the running and it really works!
